Author Guidelines
The Journal of Clinical Advances in Dentistry (JCAD) invites submissions of high-quality research in all areas of dentistry and oral health sciences. These guidelines provide detailed instructions for authors on manuscript preparation, formatting, ethical compliance, and submission.

General Formatting
- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
- Page numbers: Bottom right corner
Manuscript Structure
All research articles should include the following sections:
- Title Page: Title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author details
- Abstract: 250 words maximum, structured into Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
- Keywords: 4–6 keywords (MeSH terms encouraged)
- Introduction: Brief background and research objectives
- Methods: Detailed methodology, ethical approval statements
- Results: Findings presented with appropriate tables/figures
- Discussion: Interpretation of results in context
- Conclusion: Key takeaways and clinical relevance
- Acknowledgments: Funding, contributions, conflict of interest declarations
- References: Vancouver/NLM citation style
Tables and Figures
- Tables should be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.)
- Figures must be high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi, .jpg or .tif format)
- Legends should be concise and descriptive
References
References must follow the Vancouver style (NLM format). Example:
Smith J, Brown K. Advances in restorative dentistry. J Clin Adv Dent. 2024;12(3):145–152.
Ethical Considerations
- Studies involving humans must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki
- Animal research must follow institutional and national guidelines
- Clinical trials must be registered in recognized trial registries
- Informed consent must be obtained and documented
Conflict of Interest
All authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest. Statements must be included in the manuscript.
Submission Process
Manuscripts are submitted via the online submission portal. Authors must upload:
- Main manuscript file
- Cover letter
- Figures and tables (separate files)
- Ethics approval statement (if applicable)
Peer Review
All submissions undergo double-blind peer review. Authors will receive feedback within 4–6 weeks.
