The Journal of Clinical Advances in Dentistry (JCAD) follows a transparent charges policy to sustain its open access publishing model. Article Processing Charges (APCs) are applied only upon acceptance of manuscripts, ensuring no financial barrier to initial submission or peer review. APCs cover editorial management, peer review, digital hosting, archiving, DOI registration, and indexing.

No submission charges, page charges, or color figure charges apply. Authors only pay once their article is accepted for publication.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

APCs are determined based on article type and category. The charges are as follows:

Article Type Science & Medicine Technology & Engineering
Case Report, Clinical Trial $1899 $1499
Short Communication, Case Study $1599 $1199
Opinion, Editorial $699 (Science), $799 (Medicine) $399

Waivers and Discounts

To support inclusivity, JCAD provides full or partial waivers for authors from low-income and lower-middle-income countries. Discounted APCs may also be considered for early-career researchers or on editorial board recommendation.

APCs are non-refundable once publication processes have begun. Exceptions, such as duplicate payment or publisher error, are handled under the Refund Policy.
